This document is an oral statement on child justice delivered by the Secretariat of the Interagency Panel on Juvenile Justice on behalf of nine members of the Panel at the 18th session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) in Vienna, Austria that took place from 16-24 April 2009. The statement is divided into three parts: coordination in child justice technical advice and assistance; child justice reform and the Crime Congress 2010; and the CCPCJ thematic debate on prison overcrowding.
