This oral statement entitled "Children’s Rights in Juvenile Justice: Time to Bridge the Gap between Rights and Reality" was delivered by Defence for Children International (DCI) and the World Organisation against Torture (OMCT) at the full-day Meeting on the Rights of the Child that took place during the 10th Session of the Human Rights Council in March 2009. In the statement, DCI and OMCT raise concerns regarding the progress of children’s rights in juvenile justice at the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
